MAMOUIt is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family announce the passing of their beloved, wife, mother , grandmother, greatgrandchildren and friend, Gertie Duplechin, on October 5, 2010 at the Savoy Care Center in Mamou at the age of 84. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Mamou. Burial will follow in the New St. Ann Mausoleum with Father Jude Thierry officiating.
She leaves behind a loving and grateful family including her husband, Clifford Duplechin of Mamou one daughter, Christine D. Perron of Mamou two sons, Luther Wayne Duplechin and wife, Jennifer of Lafayette and Bob Duplechin and wife ,Gail of Mamou seven grandchildren, and eighteen great grandchildren At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 from 9:00 am until 10:00pm. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30pm Wednesday Evening .
