MAMOU The family of Gertie Vidrine Boone announce her passing on Friday, September 02, 2011 at her residence at 7:33 pm. She was 96 years old. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 2:00 pm Monday, September 5, 2011 at the St. Anns Catholic Church in Mamou. Interment will follow in the TeeMamou Cemetery with father Mark Melancon officiating.
Gertie was a housewife . She will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by one son, Ferril Glenn Bolfa and wife Della, of Bayou Chicot one daughter, Nelita Cormier and husband Jack, of Lanse Meg four grandchildren, Nick Bondick, Johnny Buxton, Brenda Fontenot, and Ferril Bolfa, Jr. nine greatgrandchildren and eleven greatgreatgrandchildren. Gertie is preceded in death by her parents, Arceluis and Celeste Vidrine one infant daughter, Gretta Bolfa four brothers, Alie, Blie, Avab, and Avey Vidrine two sisters, Alexis Dupuis and Elania Fontenot one grandson, Roderick Paul Bolfa.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou on Sunday, September 4, 2011 from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm.Rosary at 6:30 Sunday evening. Reopen at 8:00 am until time of services at 2:00 pm
