Geraldine "Gerri" Guillory

MAMOU – Funeral services will be held at a 2:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou on Monday, November 30, 2020 for Geraldine “Gerri” Guillory, 85, who passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020 in Lafayette, LA.

Father Billy Massie, pastor of St. Ann’s Catholic Church, will be celebrant of the Mass and will conduct funeral services.

Burial will take place in New St. Ann’s Cemetery.

Geraldine “Gerri” Guillory was born in Mamou on November 5, 1935 to Darmas Vizinat and Lena Dupre Vizinat.  Gerri was a devout Catholic and an active parishioner at St. Ann’s Catholic Church.  She was a Eucharist Minister and served on the Ladies Alter Society.  Gerri loved French music and dancing.  She will be missed by all those who loved her.

Gerri is survived by her two daughters, Vanessa “Nessie” LaCombe and husband, Keefen of Eunice and Julie Manuel and husband, Michael of Eunice; son, Blaine Guillory of Eunice, grandchildren, Keefen LaCombe, II, Kami LaCombe Deaville, Keesha LaCombe Huval, Kortnie LaCombe, Delana Guillory Arnaud, Melanie Guillory Schneirs, Bert Guillory, Savannah Manuel Duplechain, Brett Manuel, and Gavin Manuel; 22 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great Grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Evaton “Peanut” Guillory; parents, Darmas and Lena Dupre Vizinat; sister, Ita Marcantel; brother, Persian Vizinat; and great granddaughter, Rilynn Claire Manuel.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Mamou on Sunday, November 29, 2020 from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM.  A rosary will be recited by Deacon Gary Gaudin at 7:30 PM.  Visitation will resume on Monday, November 30, 2020 from 8:00 AM until time of service.
