Geraldine Evelyn McDaniels

Geraldine Evelyn McDaniels, born August 14, 1937, in Sacramento, California, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2026, at the age of 88.

Geraldine later made her home in Mamou, Louisiana, where she built a life filled with quiet joys and meaningful connections. She had a deep love for reading, often finding comfort and inspiration in the pages of a good book. She also cherished her cats and the companionship they brought her. Geraldine was known for her trusting nature and kind spirit, always believing the best in others.

She departed this life to receive her heavenly reward, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and generosity. She will be lovingly remembered by all those she helped along her life's journey, especially her devoted children: Sandra Scholem, Terri Renda, Jeannette Sitzam, and Elaine McDaniels.

Geraldine was incredibly blessed to have 12 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, all of whom brought her great pride and joy. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
