MAMOUIt is with the heaviest hearts and great sadness that the family of Gail Marie Fontenot Reed announces her passing on Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at Maison De Lafayette in Lafayette, La., at the age of 55. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Ann Catholic Church in Mamou at 10:00 am on Thursday, April 14, 2011. Interment will follow in Reed Cemetery in Lanse Meg with Father Chanh Nguyen officiating.

Gail will be sadly missed by her loving father, Ozeman Bob Fontenot of Lanse Meg son, Lonnie Reed and wife, Tricia of Youngsville daughter, Jada Johnson and husband, Donald of Basile two brothers, William Billy Fontenot and wife, Jolene of Youngsville and Michael Todd Fontenot and wife, Gwen of Maurice three sisters, Valerie Tweedel of Mamou, Diana Lynn Wilson and husband, Jim of Abilene, TX, and Rella Fay Romero and husband, Ritchie of Maurice and five grandchildren, Logan Johnson, Kaitlyn Reed, Alyssa Johnson, Brooks Reed, and Lane Reed. Gail will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.She was preceded in death by, one daughter Krystal Reed, one grandson Noah Perkins, her mother, Loretta Fontenot and a brother, Nick Fontenot.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm. The Funeral Home will reopen on Thursday, April 14, 2011 from 8:00 am until time of Services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm on Wednesday evening by Father Chanh Nguyen.
