Florella Dean Fontenot

VIDRINE - Funeral Services will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home of Mamou on Friday, June 14,2024, beginning at 8:00 am with a Rosary being prayed in her honor at 10:00am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou at 1:00 pm. Florella will be laid to rest in the Ortego Cemetery.

She is survived by her daughter, Deanna Fontenot Eddards and husband, Michael. Grandchildren, Michelle and significant other, Jack, Christopher and wife, Jenny, Jamie and husband Cody, Kendal, Kimberlee and significant other, Brandon. Great grandchildren, Brandon and wife, Chelsie, Cole and wife, Claudia, Annaleigh, Charlotte, and Lila. Great great-grandchildren, Olive and Harper.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Cline Fontenot and son James Ronald Fontenot.

Flo retired from the Vidrine High school lunchroom. She enjoyed being outdoors tending to her flowers and small garden. She also enjoyed camping with friends and family. She was an expert seamstress and enjoyed sewing, making quilts and crocheting.
