MAMOU - Funeral services will be held at a 2:30 PM at St Ann's Catholic Church in Mamou on Sunday, October 7, 2018, for Evelyn D. McGee, 86, who passed away on October 4, 2018 in Pine Prairie, LA.
Deacon Gary Gaudin will conduct funeral services.
Burial will take place in Platin Cemetery.
Evelyn was born in Mamou, La on October 17, 1931 to DeJean Deshotels and Agnes Aucoin Deshotels.
She is survived by her one sister, Annie Belle D. Fontenot of Pine Prairie; one brother, Jimmy Deshotels and wife Deola of Eunice; her nephew and god son, Joey Ardoin and wife Genice of Beaver Creek and numerous other nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ray Dudley McGee; four brothers, Fernest, Elridge, Elby and Ebra Deshotels; three sisters, Enes D. Deville, Luna D. Fontenot and Helen D. Fusilier.
The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin's Funeral Home of Mamou on Sunday, October 7, 2018 from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM. A rosary will be recited on Sunday at 2:00 PM.
