MAMOU~ On Sunday, May 8th 2016, God called Eugene home. Cherishing fond memories of him will be his loving wife of 55 years: Joyce Celestine of Mamou; one son, Ralph Celestine also of Mamou; one daughter: Susan Harris of Crosby , TX; six brothers: Clinton Celestine, Jr of Mamou LA; Curtis Celestine of Houston TX; Welton Celestine of Houston, TX; Harry Coward of Lake Charles, Mickey Guillory of Houston, TX and Alex Richard, Michigan; two sisters, Lena Ledet of Eunice, LA and Beverly Tomson of Houston, TX; One sister in Christ: Jerry Ardoin of Mamou, LA. One great aunt: Vernice Ardoin of Mamou, LA ; Five grandchildren, Kae Walker of Baytown, TX; Kelli Arceneaux of Atascocita, TX; Nikki Celestine of Mamou, LA; Jade Celestine and Kelsi Celestine both of Humble, TX. Eugene also had six great grandchildren, four godchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, close relatives, and friends. Godparents: Celamon Celestine and Chester Collins of Lake Charles, LA.

Mr. Celestine was the owner and operator of Celestine Bar-B-Q Stand for several years.

He will now rest in Heaven with his parents, Clinton Celestine and Corrine Durgan; two sisters Martha Jean Frank and Shirley Lemonia and one brother, Anthony Celestine. They surely await his arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
At the request of the Celestine family visitation will be held on Friday, May 13, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. Until 9:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday; at St. Ann's Catholic Church on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Paul's Cemetery in Mamou with Father Kaspar celebrant.
