MAMOU- The family of Ethel P. Soileau, , announces her passing on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 8:39 a.m.at Prairie Manor Nursing Home in Pine Prairie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, May 18, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. At St. Ann's Catholic Church in Mamou. Rite of Committal will follow in the New St. Ann's Cemetery with Father Brian Harrington Celebrant.
A loving and caring mother, grandmother sister and friend, Ethel will be missed by her four daughters, Tina Soileau Fontenot and husband, Drake of Mamou, Faith Soileau Fontenot and husband, Richard of Ville Platte, Myra Soileau Fontenot and husband, Michael of Grand Prairie and Lori Soileau Marcantel and husband, Derek of Grand Prairie, one brother, Jimmy Prudhomme of Ville Platte nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She is also survived by Patsy Manuel Veillon and husband, David and Linda Manuel Berzas and husband, Norman.
She now rejoices in Heaven with her husband, John L. Soileau, her parents, Andre and Edmonia Castille Prudhomme two brothers, Herman and Hubert Prudhomme and two sisters, Ella Mae Manuel and Pearl Qualls. Their reunion will surely be a joyous one.
At the request of the family visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Mamou on Sunday, May 17, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. A rosary will be recited at pending. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday Evening at 6:00 p.m. by Patsy Veillon. The Funeral Home will reopen at 10:00 a.m. on Monday until time of services.
