Mamou- Chapel services will be Celebrated on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Ardoins Funeral Chapel in Mamou for Etell Deshotel, 89, who passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at 9:33 A.M. at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou, La. Rite of Committial will follow in the New St. Anns Cemetery, with Nathan Comeaux Celebrant.

Mr. Deshotel a resident of Mamou, was a local Merchant, owning Etell Deshotel Grocery Store in Mamou for many years. He is survived by three daughters, Betty Ortego, Jackie Fontenot, and Juanita Guillory, all of Mamou ;Nine grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren;

Mr. Deshotel was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys F. Deshotel and his parents, Avy and Agnes Deshotel.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 from 5:00pm-10:00pm. The Funeral home will reopen on Thursday, September 3, 2009 8:00 am until time of the funeral.
