MAMOUIt is with great sadness that the family of Emily Rider Caudle, 90 announces her passing on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Savoy Care Center in Mamou. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anns Catholic Church in Mamou at 10:00 am on Friday, June 28, 2013. Rite of Committal will follow in the Perron Cemetery with Father Clement officiating.
Emily loved to cook, croucheting, and gardening. She loved to dance and loved music Emily loved hats, and being around people. The Nursing home family called her the Hat Lady .
A loving mother, grandmother and friend, Emily is survived by her two daughters, Sharon Kay Smith of Savanna, Ga and Debbie Caudle of Mamou one brother, Cyrus Ryder of New Iberia four grandsons, Robert Cole and wife, Jessica and Randall Cole and wife Adrian all of Mamou, and Justin Horton and wife Rachel and Jason Horton and wife Cynthia all of Rincon, Ga 5 greatgrandchildren.
She now rests in heaven with her parents, Zeon and Ida Rider four brothers, Alfred, Alfie, Kelly and Dudley Rider four sisters, Hattie Guillory, Lou Bougard, Anne Vidrine Naquin, and Una McManus
The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Thursday, June 27, 2013 from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm and again on Friday June 28, 2013 from 8:00 am until time of services. A rosary will be recited on Thursday at 6:30 pm. Friends and relatives may view the Obituary online at www.ardoinfuneralhomes.com .
