MAMOU - Our hearts are heavy as we have loss our father, Emile Veillon, on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at the age of 86. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 21, 2016, St. Ann's Catholic Church in Mamou at 1:30 p.m. Rite of Committal will follow in the New St. Ann's Cemetery with Father Thainese as Celebrant.


Mr. Veillon was a retired farmer. He was a loving father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, Emile will be greatly missed by five daughters, Mary Meyers of Vidrine, Elaine Veillon of Baton Rouge, Jeanette Whitacre and husband, Ernest of Morrow, Novella Gill and husband, John of Springfield, TN., and Verna Aucoin of Vidrine; his siblings, Albert Veillon of Mamou and Lurline Fontenot of Oberlin; 16 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

He will now rest in Heaven with his wife, Evelyn Marks Veillon and one daughter, Diana Fontenot. They surely await his arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
At the request of the Veillon family visitation will be held on Sunday March 20, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until time of services on Monday. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m..by Deacon Robby Leger.
