MAMOUElwyn Manuel Duplechain died on Friday, November 16, 2012 at Savoy Care Center. She was 86. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at New St. Anns Cemetery with Deacon Chuck Ortego officiating.
Elwyn was the First Beautician in Mamou in the 1950s on Sixth Street. She was involved in many businesses with her brothers and was a Rice Farmers wife, homemaker and she enjoyed shopping and eating out with her daughter and grandchildren. Elwyn was always there for all her family. Every day of her life she gave to them.
A loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother Elwyn will be missed by her daughter, Vanessa Duplechain Ducote of Mamou three grandchildren, Darren Earl Ducote, Heidi Elizabeth Ducote and Kristen Leah Fusilier and a great grandchild, Kaden Paul David.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Lily Reed Manuel husband, Earl H. Duplechain two sons, Stacy Joseph Granger and John Feryl Granger grandchildren, Ashley Lauren Ducote and Gabriel Luke Ducote three brothers, Edison TEd Manuel, Ulyesses Manuel, Austin Manuel and Wallace Manuel and a sister, Enola Manuel.
