MAMOUA mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 1:00 pm at St. Anns Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will be in the New St. Anns Cemetery with Father Mark Melancon, Celebrant for Mrs. Elsie Mae Frank, age 80.
Mrs. Frank, a resident of Mamou, was a homemaker and a wonderful friend, mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother. She was born on March 24, 1931 in Mamou to Fraoil Doriska Goodly. On August 20, 1949, she married Hampton Frank Sr. and with this union, they had fourteen children, of which she is survived by eleven.
Her five sons: Harry Lee Frank Jackie Frank, Ronald Wayne Frank, and Hampton Frank Jr. all of Mamou, LA Michael James Frank of Eunice, LA and Lionel Frank Sr. Barbara Frank of Opelousas, LA. Six daughters: Shirley Akin Jimmy Akin of Burleson, TX, Geneva Alvarado Mark Alvarado and Mary Ann Ciurleo Frank Ciurleo of San Diego, CA, Elrina Jackson Leon Jackson Jr. of Centerville, VA, Sandra Reed Ronald Reed of Dallas, TX and Melissa FrankAlston Sparticus Alston of Evans, GA One brother: Warren Goodly of Lake Charles, LA Two sisters: Rena Goodly Semien of Lake Charles, LA and Gladys Goodly Ross of Mamou, LA Nineteen grandchildren: Sonja, Joni, Tara, Mark Anthony, Tralaina, Sean, Brandon, Kimberly, Michael Paul, Sierra, Christopher, Lionel Jr., Doris, Frank II, Michael, Anastasia, Analicia, Cosette, and Colette sixteen greatgrandchildren and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Hampton Frank, Sr. children Johnny, Hilda, and Judy parents, Fraoil and Doriska Goodly eight brothers, five sisters and one grandson, Randell Wayne Frank. At the request of the Frank family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou on Saturday November 26, 2011 from 9:00 am until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 11:00 am on Saturday.
