Mamou ~ It is with great sadness and heavy hearts at the family of Eliza "Lou" B Fontenot announces her passing on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at 6:30 am at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou.
Family request visiting hours on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Mamou beginning at 8:00 am until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 1:00 pm. followed by Funeral services at St. Ann's Catholic Church at 2:00 pm. Interment will be following in the Reed Cemetery in Lanse Meg with Father Alphonse Thainese Celebrant.

Lou a lifetime resident of Mamou was a wonderful, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and great- great grandmother, and friend.
Lou leaves behind to cherish her memories, one son Faron Brent Fontenot and wife Rhonda of Oakdale, a daughter Linda Marie Armand and husband Richard "Frenchie" Armand of Hurst, Texas, daughter-in-law Pris Fontenot of Mamou; Brothers Harry Berzas, and Joseph C Berzas, 24 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren two great- great grandchildren.
Lou joins in heaven her husband Efton Fontenot, parents Murphy Berzas and Mary Ann Manuel Berzas, son Joseph Wayne Fontenot, and a daughter Sherlyn Agnes Fontenot.
Ardoin Funeral Home of Mamou was in charge of arrangements.
