Mamou- Funeral services were held on September 11, 2006 for Mrs. Edvise J. Chapman, 92. Services were held at St. Peters Catholic Church at 1:00 P.M. Burial followed in the Ortego Cemetery.

Mrs. Chapman, a resident of Lanse Griese, died at the Prairie Manor Nursing Home in Pine Prairie on September 9, 2006, following a short illness.

Mrs. Edvise, was survived by two sons, Sherly Chapman, Sherman Chapman and two daughters, Margaret C. Berzas, Donna C. Landreneau all of Lanse Griese; nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren
