MAMOU-It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Edgar Lee Boone, 33 announces his passing on June 02, 2016 at 2:40 p.m. at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou. Chapel services will be held on Monday, June 06, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Ardoin's Funeral Home Chapel in Mamou. Burial will follow in the New St. Ann's Cemetery in Mamou with Pastor Travis Turner officiating.
A son, brother, nephew, godfather and friend Edgar will be greatly missed by his mother, Gwen Baker of Mamou; two brothers, brothers, Bobby Wayne Fontenot and A.J. Buxton both of Mamou; his aunt, Pamela Berzas of Duralde; His godparents, Linda Manuel and Freeman Andrus two godchildren, Preston Speyrer and Bryce Langley and numerous cousins; His special friends, Dustin Speyrer and wife, Paige, Robbie Bertrand, Lucas Langley, Damian Reed and wife, Brittney, Joey Manuel, Dustin Spears and Brandon Arvie..

Edgar will now reunite in Heaven with his father, James Lee Boone, paternal grandparents , Henry and Amy Boone and maternal grandparents, Bill and Minerva Baker. They surely await his arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
At the request of the Boone family visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Mamou on Sunday, June 05, 2016 from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Monday, January 06, 2016 from 8:00 am until time of Services.
