Dylan Fontenot

MAMOU – Funeral services will be held at a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, for Dylan Jude Fontenot, 17, who passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022. Father Billy Massie will be celebrant of the Mass. Burial will take place in Evangeline Memorial Cemetery.

Dylan Jude Fontenot was born on December 30, 2004, in Mamou, LA to Victor Fontenot and Tiffiny Fontenot.  He was such a charmer and could sweet talk anyone.  Dylan was outgoing and never met a stranger.   He was a student at Mamou High School where he played football and was a member of the powerlifting team.  Dylan enjoyed hunting and fishing with his Papa.  He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

Dylan is survived by his mother, Tiffiny Fontenot and companion, Matthew of Mamou; father, Victor Fontenot of Ville Platte; brother, Parker Granger of Mamou; and maternal grandparents, Brian and Cenevieve Fontenot of Mamou; and paternal grandmother, Glenda Fontenot of Ville Platte.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James “Dino” Fontenot.

At the request of the family, visitation will be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Mamou on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM. A rosary will be prayed on Tuesday at 7:00 PM. Visitation will resume Wednesday, May 18, 2022, from 8:00 AM until time of service.
