MAMOU- It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Dudley Bertrand, 84, announces his passing on Friday, September 23, 2016, at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou. Funeral Services will be held at The Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Mamou on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 9:30 A.M. Burial will follow in the Fontenot Mausoleum in Mamou with Father Thainese officiating.
Mr. Bertrand was a retired State Trooper serving Troop K for twenty-three years. He was a Veteran of the United States Army.
Dudley will be greatly missed by his son, Rabon "Ray" Bertrand of Oakdale; one brother, Eddie Bertrand of Indiana and one sister, Leary Murphy of Lake Charles; four grandchildren, Kristen and Brandon Bertrand and Mike and Ryan Bertrand.
Dudley will now reunite in Heaven with his wife, Jenetta Bertrand and one son, Dudley Scott (Butch) Bertrand. They surely await him with open arms and joyous hearts.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Mamou on Monday, September 26, 2016 from 3:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. A Rosary will be recited on Monday evening at 6:15 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 A.M. on Tuesday until time of services.
