MAMOU It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Drucella Mae Smith the former Drucella Mae Ardoin, 79, announces her passing on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Prairie Manor Nursing Home in Pine Prairie. Services will be held Friday, December 31, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel in Mamou with burial at First Baptist Cemetery with Pastor Erven Goodman officiate.
Drucella was a teacher for the Evangeline Parish School Board for 20 years
Drucella leaves behind a loving and caring family who will always cherish her memory including her two nephews Lane Ardoin and wife Brenda of Baton Rouge and Dr. Brent Ardoin and wife Carrmon of Eunice, two nieces Kim Ardoin Manuel and husband Larry of Mamou and Donna Ardoin Prather and husband Blake of Lafayette, and one sisterinlaw Juanita F. Ardoin of Mamou.
She is preceded in death by her husband Havard Smith, her parents Kimbel and
Lesta Ardoin and her brother Karrel Ardoin.
At the request of the family, visitation will be Thursday, December 30, 2010 from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Friday, December 31, 2010 from 8:00 am until time of service.
Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou is in charge of arrangements
