Mamou-A Mass of Christian Burial for Doris Paul Aymond, 80, will be Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Anns Catholic Church in Mamou. Burial will follow in the New St. Anns Cemetery with Father Bob Courville officiating.

Mr. Aymond, a resident of Mamou, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2008 at Savoy Medical Center. He was a former sharecropper and farmed most of his life.

A loving husband, father, and grandfather, he is survived by his wife, Mercy G. Aymond of Mamou; three sons, Terral Aymond and wife, Sheila of Mamou, Michael Aymond of Texas, and Gary Paul Aymond, Sr. and wife, Nanette of Mamou; three daughters, Janora Deville of Mamou, Mona Willis and husband, Butch of Mamou, and Glenda Miller of Mamou; twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and three great great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Theodule and Pauline Aymond; two brothers, Norris and Clovis Aymond; two sisters, Agnes Guillory and Esther Granger; one son-in-law, Francis Deville; and two grandsons, Jeremy Miller and T.J. Aymond.

Family request that visiting hours be observed on Friday, April 25, 2008 from 12:00 p.m. until time of services on Saturday. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday evening.
