Mamou- Funeral services for Charles Whittington, 61, will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2007 at the Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Mamou,La. Burial will follow in the Reeds Cemetery on the Lanse Meg Road

Mr. Whittington, a resident of Mamou, La died on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at 11:58 p.m.at Savoy Medical center in Mamou.

He is survived by his wife, Charlene Whittington of Mamou, La; one daughter, Michelle Whittington of Mamou, La; one son, Shawn Whittington and his wife, Jodi of Rayne, La. His father, Mr. Clayton Whittington of Cypress Creek, La; one sister, Margaret Whittington, also of Cypress Creek, La; one brother, Donald Whittington, and his wife, Edie, of Bossier City, La ; eight grandchildren.

Charles was preceded in death by his mother, Lena Rae Whittington.

A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at 7:00 p.m.

Ardoin Funeral Home of Mamou was in charge of arrangements.
