MAMOU – Funeral Services will be held at an 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou on Thursday, February 13, 2020, for Charles Lee Suire, 77, who passed away peacefully on February 9, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.
Father Billy Massie, pastor of St. Ann’s Catholic Church, will conduct funeral services.
Burial will take place in Ardoin Cemetery.
He is survived by his son, Oris "Charlie" Suire and wife, Katie of Zachary; eight grandchildren, Jacob, Ashley and Kye Fontenot, Haley Blevins, Sierra Bourque and Tyler Romero, Dayton and Drake Suire; ten great grandchildren; two brothers, Oran Suire and wife, Joyce of Baton Rouge and Glen Suire and wife, Pat of Lafayette; sister, Brenda Landreneau and husband, Doug of Mamou.
He is preceded in death by his parents Oris and Pearl Suire; his former wife, Ruby Fontenot Suire; two daughters, Paula Suire Fontenot and Mesha Suire Romero and one great grandson, Ryder Bourque.
The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Mamou on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A rosary will be recited by Deacon Chuck Ortego at 6:15 PM on Wednesday. Visitation will resume on Thursday, February 13, 2020 from 8:00 AM until time of service.
