MAMOUIt is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of, Cecelia Pearl. Young, 73 announce her passing on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at 2:12 am at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 1:00 pm at St. Anns Catholic Church in Mamou. Rite of Committal will follow in the Reeds Cemetery in Lanse Meg with Father Thainese as Celebrant.
Cecelia a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend will be greatly missed by her husband of 52 years, Littell DocYoung of Reddell one son, Kirk Young and wife, Shayne of Reddell four daughters, Donna Ryder and husband, Randy of Vidrine, Susan Butler and husband, Ralph of Baton Rouge, Sandy Baldridge and husband, Jeremy of Sulphur and Becky Fontenot and husband, Dirk of Reddell Two brothers, Joseph Anthony Deshotel of Mamou and James C. Deshotel and wife, Wilma of Sulphur one sister Mary Ann Courville of Reddell seventeen grandchildren, Dustin and wife Miranda, Bridgette and husband, Zackery, Hannah, Aaron and wife Amanda,Andy,Jessica and husband Kaine, Jacob, Kelly and husband Jason, Corey, Sarah, Ethan, Sophia, Caroline, Chloe, Payton, Riley and Ryan and five greatgrandchildren, Adalyn, Aiden, Brayden, Keegan and Abigayle.
Cecelia will now reunite in Heaven with her parents, Murphy and Pearl Deshotel and one sister Rita Faye McGee one sisterinlaw, Tarrel Deshotel and two brother inlaws, Lionel Guillory and Berkman Courville.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home on Friday, February 14, 2014 from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm by Deacon Chuck Ortego The Funeral Home will reopen on Saturday at 8:00 am until time of services.
