MAMOU- It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Calvin Melton Richard, 69, announces his passing on Friday, January 30, 2015 at 1:25 p.m. at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte. Chapel Services will be held on Monday, February 02, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Mamou. Burial will follow in the St. Bridgette Cemetery in Lawtell with Deacon Gene LeBouf officiating.

A loving brother, uncle and friend, Calvin leaves behind two brothers, Felton Richard and wife, Gloria of Mamou, and Robert Richard and wife, Shirley of Eunice and a host of nieces and nephews.
He will now rest in Heaven with his parents ,Willis and Nola Richard, one brother, James Rodney Richard and two sisters, Barbara Melancon and Linda Manuel. They surely await his arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home on Sunday, February 1, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday Evening. The Funeral Home will reopen on Monday, February 2, 2015 at 7:00 a.m. until time of services. Family and friends may view the online obituary and sign the guestbook at www.ardoinfuneralhomes.com.
