PINE PRAIRIE - Funeral services will be held at an 11:00 AM mass of Christian burial at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Pine Prairie on Thursday, March 7, 2019 for Burnell Gautreau, 83, who passed away on March 4, 2019 in Lafayette.

Fr. Kenneth Mayne, pastor of St. Peter's Catholic Church, will be celebrant of the Mass and conduct funeral services.

Burial will take place in the St. Peter's Mausoleum.

Burnell is survived by his wife Maxine Gautreau of 45 years, three daughters: Dori Raye Redfern and husband Lee of Marietta, Georgia, Catherine McDaniel and husband Scott of Lafayette, and Rebecca Dale Higginbotham and husband Jim of Gainsville, Georgia; two sons: James Davis Vidrine and wife Kim of Dawsonville, Georgia and Michael Scott Vidrine of Midland, Texas; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gus and Marceline Deville Gotro, grandson, Neil McDaniel, granddaughter, Tonya Delafosse, and three sisters.

The family requests that visitation be observed at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Pine Prairie on Wednesday, March 6 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Visitation will resume Thursday, March 7 at 8:00 AM until time of service. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday evening at 5:00 PM.
