MAMOUIt is with great sadness that the family of Bonnie Fontenot announces her passing on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at the age of 69. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 1:00 pm at St. Anns Catholic Church in Mamou. Rite of Committal will follow in the New St. Anns Mausoleum with Father Joshua Guillory Celebrant.
Bonnie was a teller at Guaranty Bank of Mamou, and loved spending time in her garden, and spoiling her grandchildren.
A loving, mother, sister, grandmother and friend, Bonnie will be missed by her two loving daughters, Shelly LaFleur and husband, Shane of Vidrine, La, and Tina Stagg and husband Matthew of Whiteville,La her three loving sons, Kyle Fontenot and wife Karen, Kane Fontenot and wife Greta all of Vidrine La and Ched Fontenot and wife Holly of Tate Cove, La one brother, James Bradley Prudhome of Lafayette, La. and sixteen grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.Bonnie will be missed by all who knew her. She was also survived by a Special friend Bobby Foret of Vidrine La
Now she rests in heaven with her beloved husband of 30 years Jeanard Fontenot, her parents Elward and Verna Prudhome
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 from 3:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Thursday, June 28, 2012 from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm Wednesday evening.
