MamouA beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Bertie Pendergrass Guillory will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Bertie died on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at the Savoy Medical Center in Mamou surrounded by her loved ones. She was 80. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 am Monday, October 11, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Mamou. Rite of Committal will follow in the New St. Anns Cemetery with Br. Ervin Goodman and Br. Billy Edwards officiating.
Bertie was a resident of Mamou and a former teachers aide and a civil deputy at the Evangeline Parish Sheriffs Office.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Robert A. Guillory of Mamou a son, Jim Guillory of Mamou her two daughters, Debra G. Brown and husband, Roger of Plaisance and Ann Marie G. Fontenot and husband, Warren Jr. of Mauriceville, TX. seven grandchildren, Nickie B. Vice, Christiana B. Darbonne, Kristopher Fontenot, Ashley Fontenot, Adrienne Fontenot, Tiffani Guillory and Brennan Guillory and two great grandchildren.
Now she rests in Heaven with her parents, William and Edworta Pendergrass.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Mamou on Sunday, October 10th from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Monday, Oct. 11th from 8:00 am until time of services.
