MAMOU-Funeral Services will be held at a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou on Saturday, December 21, 2019, for Bernella “PaTou” Guillory, 85, who passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2019 surrounded by her loved ones.
Father Billy Massie, pastor at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, will be celebrant of the mass and will conduct all funeral services.
Burial will take place in New St. Ann’s Cemetery.
Bernella “PaTou” Guillory was born on June 25, 1934 to father, Evab “Bab” Vidrine, and mother, Gertie Deshotel Vidrine. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family. Mrs. Bernella “PaTou” was a seamstress all of her life. She worked for Holloway Sportwear and Jantzen. She also loved to sew for those she loved, especially her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her three daughters, Debbie Cormier and husband Lionel of L’Anse Meg, Jennifer Hairford of Plaucheville, and Brenda Douget and husband Shawn of L’Anse Meg; son, Anthony Guillory of Chataignier; eight grandchildren, Carla Guillory, Daniel Cormier, Marcella Ponthieux, Brandy Hairford, Nikki Hairford, Ryan McGee, Quentin Douget, and Katie Guillory; thirteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Evab “Bab” and Gertie Vidrine; husband, Edley Guillory; granddaughter, Amy Elizabeth Cormier; and grandson, Christopher McGee.
The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Mamou on Friday, December 20, 2019 from 12:00 PM until 9:00 PM. A rosary will be recited by Deacon Chuck Ortego at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, December 21, 2019 from 8:00 AM until dismissal for mass at 9:30 AM.
