MAMOU – Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM at Ardoin’s Funeral Home on Friday, July 17, 2020 for Anthony H. Rougeau, Sr., 60, who passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2020 in Mamou, Louisiana.
Becky Lafleur will conduct funeral services.
Inurnment will take place in Rougeau Cemetery.
Anthony H. Rougeau, Sr. was born on June 16, 1960 in Mamou, LA to Harvey and Delores McGee Rougeau. He was a lifelong resident of Mamou. “Rougeau” was a carpenter by trade. He built everything from cabinets to houses. He enjoyed spending time outside working in his garden. He was a huge LSU and Saints fan and he enjoyed watching games with this family and friends while cheering loudly for his favorite teams. “Rougeau” was a great cook and was known for Chicken Wings. He passed this secret recipe down to his sons. He loved cooking and spending time with family and friends. His greatest love was the love he had for his family. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by those that knew him.
“Rougeau” is survived by his sons, Logan Rougeau and Anthony Harvey Rougeau, Jr.; his daughter, Andrea Fuselier; his longtime companion, Shannon Courville; his five grandchildren, Sylas Fuselier, Kyra Fuselier, Zayn Fuselier, Michael Rougeau, and Liam Rougeau; his sister, Lisa Ann Trahan; and two brothers, Gerald Wayne Rougeau and John Allen Rougeau.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Delores McGee Rougeau.
At the request of the family, visitation will be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Mamou on Friday, July 17, 2020 from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM.
