Mamou- Funeral services were held for Alton W. Ward, 91 on Friday, May 11, 2007 at 11:00 am at Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in the New St. Anns Mausoleum.

Mr. Ward, a resident of Mamou and a native of PineBluff, Arkansas, died on Wednesday,, May 9, 2007 at 4:30 pm at his residence.

He was a retired Drilling Consultant.

Mr. Alton is survived by one son, Dr. William To Jo Ward and his wife, JoAne of Ville Platte, La; one daughter, Patricia Worsham and her husband, Jim of Prairieville, La; one brother, Frank Ward and his wife Nell of Lafayette, La.; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Pearl Ward, and his parents, Benjamin and Nettie Ward.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 10, 2007 from 8:00 am until 10:00 pm. The Funeral Home reopened at 8:00 am on Friday , May 11, 2007 until time of services .

Ardoin Funeral Home of Mamou, was in charge of arrangements.
