MAMOU-A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at St. Anns Catholic Church in Mamou for Allen Pousson, Jr. who passed away on Monday, November 30, 2009 at his residence in Mamou. Burial will follow in the New St. Anns Cemetery with Father Bryce Sibley officiating.

Allen was dedicated to his work of many years as an electrician and fireman. He served the town of Mamou as City Inspector and worked part time at True Value Hardware. He dedicated his time during the summer as a Youth Golf Instructor which he truly enjoyed.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, children,grandchildren, mother and brothers. Mr. Pousson is survived by his wife, Barbara Bobbie Pousson of Mamou; his mother, Verna Mae Pousson of Basile; three daughters, Talisa Pousson of Iota, Shanna Yandle and husband Eddie of Columbia S.C., and Dessa Lahaye and husband Jay of Reddell; three brothers, Johnnie Pousson of Basile, James Pousson of Lake Charles and Raymond Pousson of Iowa; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Allen Pousson, Sr, one son, Dane Allan Pousson and one sister, Sadie Lejeune.

The Pousson family wants to give a Special Thanks to a special friends of the family, JoJuanna Person, Dr Wayne Lahaye, Dr. Nick Lahaye, Dr. Marcel Lahaye, Mrs. Susan Lahaye,Savoy Medical center and Hospice Compassion

The family request that visiting hours be observed on Monday, November 30, 2009 at Ardoin Funeral Home of Mamou, from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm The Funeral Home will reopen at 8:00 am on Tuesday until time of services at 2:00 pm.

A Rosary will be recited on Monday, at 7:00 pm.
