MAMOU – Funeral services will be held at a 12:30 PM Mass of Christian burial at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou on Monday, September 23, 2019 for Michelle Ann LeJeune, 51, who passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2019 in Gonzales.
Father Billy Massie, pastor of St. Ann’s Catholic Church, will be celebrant of the Mass and will conduct funeral services.
Burial will take place in the New St. Ann’s Cemetery.
Michelle Ann LeJeune was born in Mamou, Louisiana on February 12, 1968 to Tommy and Loretta Dean Deshotel Baker. She was a school bus driver by trade and enjoyed playing Bingo when not taking care of her family. She loved watching her son play baseball. Her grandson Kollin was her world. Michelle was a special lady and her memory will be cherished by everyone that knew her.
Michelle is survived by her husband of 25 years, Michael Kerr LeJeune, Sr. of Gonzales, parents Tommy and Loretta Dean Deshotel Baker of Mamou, son, Michael K. LeJeune, Jr. of Gonzales, daughter Amber R. Mancuso and husband Howard of Gonzales, grandchild Kollin Mancuso, and brother Tommy Baker, Jr. and girlfriend Jessica of Mamou. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her nieces Heather Reed and Taylor Mayeaux and nephews Collin LeJeune, Logan LeJeune, Robert Saucier, Erin Saucier and Joshua Mayeaux.
Michelle is preceded in death by her son Andrew Kerr LeJeune, sister Belinda Mayeaux, and Godmother Gwen Baker.
The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Mamou on Sunday, September 22 from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Visitation will resume Monday, September 23 at 8:00 AM until time of service. A rosary will be recited on Sunday evening at 6:00 PM led by Deacon Chuck Ortego.
