MAMOU-Funeral Services will be held at a 2:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, for Darryl Wayne Deason, 54, who passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2019 surrounded by his loved ones.
Father Billy Massie, pastor at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, will be celebrant of the mass and will conduct all funeral services.
Burial will take place in Reed Cemetery.
Darryl Wayne Deason was born on September 2, 1965 to Kenneth and Elizabeth Greene Deason. He loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. He enjoyed traveling the country with his wife. Darryl was a loving husband, father and brother and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Anette Deason; son, Dylan Deason and wife Maranda; sisters, Judy Jones and Phyllis Deason; and brother, Charles Deason.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Elizabeth Greene Deason.
The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Mamou on Monday, December 9, 2019 from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM. A rosary will be recited by Deacon Chuck Ortego at 6:00 PM Monday. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 from 8:00 AM until time of service.
Pallbearers will be Dylan Deason, Michael Manuel, Gavin Manuel, Lee Speyrer, Charles “Boo” Fontenot, and Roddy Fontenot. Honorary Pallbearer is Robin Young.
